Volvo Cars' official enterprise platform

As an early member of the incubator team, I helped shape Connect, Volvo Cars’ enterprise platform serving professional users across 80+ markets. Turning fragmented workflows into a global platform meant understanding regional differences and finding shared user needs. I translated those insights into journeys, prototypes and design priorities alongside 10+ designers and product leaders.

Connect

Since 2022, I have helped shape the UX vision behind Connect, Volvo Cars’ official platform for Enterprise tooling, designed to support professional users across 80+ markets with 20+ major applications. My starting point was a fragmented sales ecosystem where retailers navigated 15 to 30 disconnected systems to manage leads, customers, orders and deliveries

As one of the team’s early incubator initiatives, I combined user research, service design and strategic product thinking to compare roles and behaviours across regions. Research in Norway revealed market-specific Retailer Portal workflows, while the UK Flip introduced new business, compliance and operational requirements for sales agents.

Global user needs

Scalability

These insights helped us distinguish global user needs from local variations and design for scale without forcing every market into the same process. Through cross-market research, service design, ecosystem mapping, prototyping and stakeholder alignment, I helped define a unified, role-based experience for retailers, national sales companies and central teams. My work helped lay the experience foundation for a platform that grew from 16 to 30 applications in six months.

Notion AI

Design operations

Beyond product design, I contributed to design operations, shared research practices and reusable design patterns. I introduced clearer ways to document insights, structure research and make previous findings easier to discover and reuse across teams. Using Notion AI, I explored more efficient ways to synthesize research, organize knowledge and create accessible documentation without removing the need for human analysis and judgement.

I supported alignment across a team of more than ten designers by facilitating workshops, sharing research findings and connecting work across products and markets. I also led design initiatives with product managers and design leadership, helping teams clarify problem statements, define priorities and translate strategic goals into actionable experience principles. My role was to create clarity in an ambiguous environment, strengthen collaboration and ensure that evidence from users remained present in product and strategic decisions.

Future of connect

Connect is currently live and the work is ongoing, with teams expanding the platform, improving self-service and bringing more fragmented workflows into one connected experience.
